Hey everybody! This might be the last email for a few
days...
Well
yesterday, we went to the frog center yesterday, and this is the big ministry
here in South Africa for the students to come and hang out somewhere safe. The
ministry is huge, and there are so many kids in the building, and what Pastor
John really needs is a Frog center coordinator, he has been trying to get one
for a while now, so that is a major prayer request from down here in S. Africa.
There might be a couple coming from America tot help sometime, but please just
be praying for that. Right now its just hard because there aren't coordinated
and organized activities for the kids- chaos basically!
Well
yesterday was also so hard for a couple of reasons- Brittany found out in an
email that one of her friends from back at school was killed in a car accident.
He was traveling to help out with a Christian camp. And then 4 siblings, that
just came to Mollies place right before we got here, their mother died
yesterday because of aids. They knew it was coming, that's why they are at the
orphanage, but it's just so sad to think of these children without parents. So
please pray for them, that they are able to adjust to living at mollies place.
These children are so sweet.
Today, we
were supposed to have our last day in the schools, but the teachers are on
strike here. So school was totally canceled... but we got to do something else
that was amazing! Since we have been staying at john and Evelyn's
house, we have heard John talk about how he needs a new refrigerator...
so us four girls went to this store today and bought them a new
refrigerator! It's so beautiful! And its a surprise... it is being
delivered tonight! We can't wait to see their faces! They
have been such a blessing to us, so we want to bless them as well!
Oh and
funny story, Evelyn has been making us amazing dinners everyday, so we decided
to make her and john an American meal... well half American- Mexican American
tacos! And some of Evelyn's friends came over to eat it... and they didn't
know how to eat it. They asked if the shell was the side bread... so we gave
them a taco 101 course. And demonstrated how to make and eat the taco! It was
awesome... these people were so funny. And they wanted to bite it from the top!
Ok well
love you guys! We have had an amazing time here... and we are going on an
overnight trip tomorrow for the safari! And cave exploring
(maybe) and ostrich riding (maybe) if I'm brave enough!
Love you all!
Court
It is such a blessing to hear about all that God is doing through you over in South Africa. I am praying you and the ministry in South Africa!
